For many people January 1 is the time to get more organized which may include getting a calendar to map out deadlines, appointments and important dates. For me, I try and get it all together in time for Back-To-School — even if you aren’t in school or don’t have children, there is something about the end of summer and the crisp air of fall that brings a sense of getting more organized and focused.
And, yes, many people still use a paper portable calendar or desktop calendar. I’m very visual and prefer to physically write out important dates and appointments. I also need the flexibility to scribble notes on the side, to cross things out, make drawings/arrows, highlight really important things. So for all of that I use a paper calendar. At work I use an electronic calendar, but my home/personal calendar is a portable paper calendar.
Here is my favorite calendar – MomAgenda – with some options. All of these calendars go from August 2018 through December 2019. I prefer this style since it shows the month and then each week from left to right Monday through Sunday on 2 open pages. I prefer the option to look at the week at a glance, since that is exactly how I think. Also, MomAgenda has motivational, sweet quotes each week. And if you do have children, MomAgenda has their signature layout with separate spaces for mom and up to 4 kids.
Below this is a larger version — some moms keep this one at home on their desk, although it is still a portable version. 7″ x 9″ x 1″ Prices vary based on the cover type style options. I love the Navy Python and the Shimmering Robin’s Egg Blue options for a couple more $$.
Below this is a smaller version that is just like the style above, but a bit smaller making it very portable and easy to stick in your purse/bag. 5″ x 7″ x 1″
Below this is a larger version, but they created a less expensive option using a spiral bound yet same page styles inside. 7″ x 9″ x 1″
