Burr Fur was started by one of my friends, Lisa, and her daughter Alexis. They started with the women’s faux fur helmet cover since they were frustrated with how ski helmets looked. They wanted to look better in their ski helmets and had fun adding fur and pony tails — at first, making them for family and friends. Strangers on the slopes would stop them and ask where they got their fur helmet covers and their long pony tails! What started out as a hobby has turned into a business. Now Burr Fur helmet covers can be seen on ski slopes across the country.
